What would you do for a Klondike bar? Have you ever really thought of that? Do you remember those old advertisements where people would bark like a dog for that ice cream treat? Imagine what they would do for a gallon of ice cream? I have to get the contact information on these guys. I don’t know why I was thinking about this advertisement after all of these years, but my mind works in weird ways in case you can’t tell. I, personally, would not do anything for a Klondike bar. I do not like Klondike bars.
I want to wish RSR’s Lead Photographer, Host of RSRTV’s Boxing Show, and very good friend, Cedric Howard, a Happy Birthday today. Why did they incorporate spankings into birthday parties? Have you noticed that? 22 spanks and a pinch for good luck. I would not feel comfortable pinching and/or spanking Cedric. I will buy him a gift…perhaps a DVD of some sort. Maybe a book would be better. He is a book worm. He is a wormy bookie. Yes! I like that term: “Wormy Bookie.” Should I remind you where you heard it first or do you consider that stupid too?
My car died this week. It’s a 1991 Chevy Cavalier, or should I say that it WAS a 1991 Chevy Cavalier, that died on the way back from work last week. Now, I must rely on the kindness of my wife to drop me off at work and pick me up. It’s not like when we were first dating and she was trying to impress me and going out of her way. I miss those days. Have you ever noticed that when you first date somebody, they treat you really well? That’s why I was engaged so quickly, but as time goes on my requests for certain things that were once answered immediately now go unanswered. I guess it’s a good thing that I have Cinemax. As a married man, I certainly need it.
So, no car, crappy job where the chemicals in the air that I breath every day will probably force me to use Viagra at an earlier age then I suspect, but what can you do? I have to roll with the punches and wait for my ship to come in and pick me up and bring me to Babe Island. I saw a movie like that where these two guys were on a cruise ship and it sank and they ended up on an island with all of these hot women. I don’t know the title of the movie, but it was a great flick! I also liked Playmate of the Apes with Misty Mundae. It’s not an adult film….but it is a racy spoof of Planet of the Apes, and it was great! Mundae is also a great actress in my opinion.
Okay, before I get too explicit or talk about spanking and Cedric in the same sentence again, I will move on to your questions.

anyways been watching pernell’s videos lately and wanted your opinion on what would be the most dominant trait that the Pea has so that he would win against PB. i mean his uncanny ability to sense the punches and impeccable timing are there and specially his southpaw stance to make it even worse. but what is that “IT” factor that would do it for him against PB cuz i see (at least to myself) a similarity between the two in terms of mindframe and style of fighting, from the defense before going to the offense, really genius type of boxing. what would be the “IT” for the Pea?

Thanks for the assistance. I will take all the help that I can get when it comes to the ladies. Granted I’m married, but I have to keep up with Jose Antonio Rivera because he’s always bragging about the women. So, I need to compete. Now, the most dominant trait of Pernell is his feel for the game…his reflexes. His reflexes when it came to his defense and offense separated him from everyone else. You are right about his timing as well and I look at Floyd as a poor man’s Pernell Whitaker. They are similar in some ways, but “Sweet Pea” is an all time great…probably the best fighter that I have ever seen and I see him shutting out Floyd as he always used to do to his other opponents. He was a genius in the ring, and could probably have moved up to any weight and won a title. He impressed me more than any other fighter.

The best way for Morales to defeat Manny is to keep his composure and keep the Pacman away. He has to control the bout and fight the perfect fight in order to escape this bout with the win. I would advise him to jab and grab and get Manny out of his rhythm early and then from the 6th round on, begin his attack against the frustrated Filipino. He has beaten Pacman before and it wasn’t that long ago, so he has to keep that in the back of his mind. He’s the definite underdog going into this, but he is the live underdog and if he gathers all his forces and comes in with the right mindset, he’s got a big shot.

Since you like watching movies, what do you think of the movie “CLICK” by Adam Sandler? I would recommend the movie to you, I really like the movie, it’s really hilarious esp. the dog and the BIG STUFFED YELLOW BIRD! Talk about Humpy dumpy!=) It’s a funny movie with a good message at the end! Anyway i’ll not waste your time anymore, i would just like to know what do you think of these match-ups and the possible outcome in your opinion(Sorry, if these question might have been answered in your prev mailbags, i’m not sure though)

How’s it going? Not too shabby. They wanted me to work today, but I told them to bug off. So, all in all, I can’t complain too much. I could, but don’t you just hate that. I can’t stand when somebody bitches constantly. It gives me a headache, and takes away valuable time that you could spend talking about boxing or talking about just who was the best host of Family Feud was. Richard Dawson was the man…no questions about it.
I’m glad that you liked the Buzz line. It’s gone over well… I want to see “Click,” with Sandler. I just saw “The Longest Yard” with him and it was really funny. It was one of the best recent flicks from him that I have seen. Now, onto the questions…
Mike Tyson vs. Ali
I’m in the minority here and I understand that Ali is held in very high regard by most, but style-wise and when you figure in Ali’s susceptibility to the left hook, and the fact that Iron Mike had such a good one and was quicker than Henry Cooper or Joe Frazier, I only have one conclusion to come to. Tyson by KO in round 7.
Mike Tyson vs. Max Baer
As much respect for Max Baer that I have, I still think that Mike Tyson would be too much for him and would stop him late in the fight. I just think that Tyson is sharper and threw better combinations in his prime.
Mike Tyson vs. George Foreman
Here we go…the style thing again. Stylistically, this is a very bad match up for Iron Mike. He’s small and charges, which makes the uppercut the best weapon to use against him. Foreman had the best uppercut in the division and possibly in boxing and would land those on the chin of Tyson as he put on the pressure, eventually stopping him. Big George is a bad match for Mike at any time.
Coolest man on the planet? YES! I like that, and I don’t want to argue with the fans, so I will have to agree. Thanks!

I really like your mailbag. A lot of info on boxing. Would like to ask you how you feel about Pacman being in Dela Hoya’s GBP. Do you think its a good choice for the PAC rather than being with Arum or King? I read somewhere that Oscar is better since he’s a boxer and he won’t con his fighters. Thanks for the props. I really don’t think that GBP is any better than Don King or Bob Arum’s organizations. Perhaps being a fighter and knowing the way that promoters work may have helped ODH, or maybe it inspired him to follow in their footsteps. Time will tell. I don’t think that anyone is better off with Finkel from what I’ve heard.
